Hello! I’m Akin Olaniyan, a seasoned media specialist, digital marketer and a certified leadership coach. He has 30 years of experience spanning newspaper reporting and editing; corporate communication; and new media research. Successfully managed an editorial staff of 7 desk heads and 10 reporters to achieve production schedules; initiated a strategic content development that produced new segments for the business section.

2004-2005

Chair, Executive Council

Oversaw all functions of the organization, working with the board of directors on long term strategy, training, research, compliance; implemented process improvement enabling the organization to scale effectively through across all units.

Deputy Editor

Was directly responsible for the management of the entire editorial unit of the daily newspaper; oversaw daily production processes from supervision of line editors; to news processes, including, design and editing
